My Small Group Community has been studying Paul’s epistle to the Philippians this summer, and I’ve really enjoyed it! Then again, I’ve been the one doing the teaching, so there are no guarantees that others have felt the same. Nonetheless, our time in Philippians has yielded a number of applications that hit close to home in a good way.
Particularly striking to me is the theme of joy in Philippians. Paul uses “joy” or “rejoice” eleven different times in the four chapters of Philippians. He points out things that any Christian can find joy in, no matter what one’s circumstances in life may be. I’d like to share these observations on joy in a series of posts here. It’s a new project, ripe with potential! Let’s see if I can carry it through to completion…
