Construction Pics

Today, a portion of our team spent the morning helping to rebuild a house that was nearly ruined by the flooding following Hurricane Katrina. First, we walked through a house across the street that has remained untouched since the Hurricane. Then, we applied mud to drywall joints in another house to prepare it for painting.

Here are some pictures from the day:

Dear Louisiana team, We are praying for you. May God's love flow through you and touch the hearts of those who need Jesus so desperately! We were glad to hear that God provided some shelter from the rain for you. The pictures and personal testimonies are great. We all loved Alana's blog of how God kept nudging her to go to Louisiana. Yay for Alana and yay for the whole Louisiana team. We love you!
Love, Gloria and the Shaffer bunch.
P.S. Steve's surgery went well and he is starting to get his appetite back.
